This recipe was really easy to make and took no time at all! I usually make a big batch of treats and freeze them so I can pull them out whenever.
Here is what you’ll need:
- 8 ounces turkey bacon
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted beef broth ( chicken broth if your dog has a beef allergy)
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 2 large eggs
Step 1: preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2: Place uncooked bacon in food processor and pulse to roughly chop it. Transfer to a large bowl and add flour, broth, water, eggs, and mix well.
Step 3: Drop rounded pieces of dough on to prepared baking sheet (or cut out with cookie cutter to desired shape). Bake for 15-18 minutes until slightly hardened. Allow treats to cool 30 minutes before serving. Refrigerate up to 3 days or freeze up to 3 months.
