This recipe was really easy to make! Just make sure the crescent rolls are completely cooked on the bottom before taking the dish out of the oven. It took me a few extra minutes in the oven until the bottom was completely done.
Here is what you’ll need: (This makes 4 servings for a 50 pound dog)
- 1 (8 oz) container crescent rolls
- 4 cups chopped fresh spinach
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup (2 oz) chopped beef heart
- 1 large egg
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2: Spray 9 inch round baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Line dish with crescent rolls.
Step 3: Steam spinach over simmering water until it wilts and roughly chop.
Step 4: In large bowl, combine spinach, beef, wheat germ, beef heart, and egg. Spread mixture evenly over rolls.
Step 5: Cover dish with foil. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and let completely cool before serving.
